Bible reading of the day

Ex 30:11-31:18, Matt 26:47-68, Ps 32:1-11, Pr 8:27-32

^{Ex 31:12} The Lord then gave these instructions to Moses: ¹³ “Tell the people of Israel: ‘Be careful to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you from generation to generation. It is given so you may know that I am the Lord, who makes you holy. ¹⁴ You must keep the Sabbath day, for it is a holy day for you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community. ¹⁵ You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day must be a Sabbath day of complete rest, a holy day dedicated to the Lord. Anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death. ¹⁶ The people of Israel must keep the Sabbath day by observing it from generation to generation. This is a covenant obligation for all time. ¹⁷ It is a permanent sign of my covenant with the people of Israel. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day he stopped working and was refreshed.’”

^{Matt 26:52} “Put away your sword,” Jesus told him. “Those who use the sword will die by the sword. ⁵³ Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly? ⁵⁴ But if I did, how would the Scriptures be fulfilled that describe what must happen now?”

Lord, oh our dear Lord. What an obeying heart towards the Father!

Psalm 32

A psalm of David.

¹ Oh, what joy for those
      whose disobedience is forgiven,
      whose sin is put out of sight!
² Yes, what joy for those
      whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt,
      whose lives are lived in complete honesty!
³ When I refused to confess my sin,
      my body wasted away,
      and I groaned all day long.
⁴ Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me.
      My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat.

⁵ Finally, I confessed all my sins to you
      and stopped trying to hide my guilt.
   I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.”
      And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.

⁶ Therefore, let all the godly pray to you while there is still time,
      that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment.
⁷ For you are my hiding place;
      you protect me from trouble.
      You surround me with songs of victory.

⁸ The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
      I will advise you and watch over you.
⁹ Do not be like a senseless horse or mule
      that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.”

¹⁰ Many sorrows come to the wicked,
      but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the Lord.
¹¹ So rejoice in the Lord and be glad, all you who obey him!
      Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure!

This psalm is speaking what exactly in my chest now. I love it. Yes, we need to come to the Lord, confess our sins and we will be forgiven. And that shows our trust in Him that He surrounds us with his unfailing love. At this moment, I really just want shout for joy, really, to praise and thank the Lord!
